Understanding the Dashboard
Getting Started
Updated Apr 2, 2026
The Chglog dashboard is designed to give you an at-a-glance view of your entire monitoring estate.
Layout
- Top bar — team switcher (top-left), credits badge with live balance, and dark-mode toggle.
- Sidebar — quick access to Dashboard, Downtimes, your projects, configuration pages and settings. Coloured dots show the worst status of each project.
- Main area — the content panel changes depending on the page you're viewing.
Dashboard home
When you click Dashboard (or visit / while logged in) you'll see:
- A summary of all checks that are not assigned to any project (if any).
- Quick stats: total checks, checks currently down, active downtimes.
Status colours
| Colour | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ● Green | All checks are up. |
| ● Amber | At least one check is degraded. |
| ● Red | At least one check is down. |
| ● Grey | Status is unknown (check hasn't been evaluated yet). |
Credits badge
The credits badge in the top bar updates every 60 seconds. It shows your current balance. Click it to go to the Billing page for details on consumption rate and projected duration.
